SCHOPF & WEISS HOSTS ARBITRATION MINI-MOOT COMPETITION
The Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association (“CIDRA”) held the third annual Willem Vis Arbitration Mini-Moot competition at the law offices of Schopf & Weiss LLP. The Willem Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition is an international competition designed to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes. CIDRA organized the Mini-Moot in Chicago to offer local area law schools the chance to polish up their arguments prior to the international competition. This year’s competition included students from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Chicago-Kent Law School and John Marshall Law School. CIDRA members served as arbitrators for this event.
The Willem Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition takes place annually in Vienna and draws students from more than 135 law schools around the world to argue both sides of a complex problem made available online by Pace University Law School. This year for the first time a second competition will be held in Hong Kong.
