THE MEDIATION RULES OF CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION ASSOCIATION (CIDRA) ARTICLE 24 - TERMINATION OR REOPENING OF MEDIATION PROCEEDINGS 1) The mediation shall be terminated: a) by execution of a settlement agreement by the parties; b) by a written declaration of the mediator to the effect that further efforts at mediation are no longer worthwhile; c) by a written declaration of a party or parties to the effect that the mediation proceedings are terminated; or d) by a written declaration of CIDRA that the mediation proceedings are terminated. 2) A mediation, once terminated, may be reopened by any party or parties by following the procedure described in Articles 4 and 5. 3) Parties are encouraged to complete a "Mediation Evaluation Form" after the termination of a mediation and return the completed form to CIDRA to assist CIDRA in continuing its efforts to improve its dispute resolution program. A CIDRA Mediation Evaluation Form appears in Appendix C to these Rules.
