Professor Richard Speidel of Northwestern agreed to speak to the CIDRA membership on the topic of the fit between the Illinois International Arbitration Act and the New York Convention, as implemented by the Federal Arbitration Act. He also discussed developments in California, which has also enacted the UN Model Law and concluded with the English Arbitration Act and its solution to the mesh between international and domestic arbitration law.
