Thomas Panek, President and Chief Operating Officer of the World Trade Center Chicago will discuss with us the organization, its programs and strategies to enhance Chicago’s role in world events and commerce.

Before joining World Trade Center Chicago in September 2006, Mr. Panek was the senior international trade specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he developed successful international business strategies for American companies. A strong supporter of international trade, he served in diplomatic and economic missions and received the international trade administration bronze medal for outstanding contribution to U.S. exporters. He holds a Master’s degree in international law and organization from American University School of International Service, and the Washington College of Law.
